Default 60K Mile service

Good evening all, I'm picking my new, well new to me ram tomorrow. Its a 05 Quad cab with the hemi and 4x4. It has 58000 miles on it and would like to get the 60k mile service done to it. I called 3 dealers, first was 998.00, second was 889 and the 3rd was 1100. Why does it cost so much to have transmission, front and rear diff, transfercase, plugs and wires done? Is there more to it than that? I don't have the equipment to do it all or the know how. I can change oil and simple things, but Im no mechanic. I also called some local repair shops, one is Quality tune up and Aamco and their prices are about the same, about 600. Im in northern CA in the Sacramento area. What do you all recommend?

Search the Internet, for all the dealerships in your area, to find coupons.

I have a 2005 2500 4X4 V8 (HEMI) with 62,000 miles. Three years ago I had my local dealership replace my spark plugs for...$89.95 with a coupon from another dealership. Last year, I had my local dealership drain/refill both differentials for...$245.00 and the transmission filter replaced for...$89.95 with coupons from another dealership. Last week I had the spark plugs changed again for...$89.95 with another dealership's coupon.

The deals are out there. You just have to do the homework and find the deals. Good Luck!
