Default Got new wheels & Tires and Painted calipers

Well I put on new set of BFG 37" KO and XD Rims. Now I have black set for fall and winter and spring and summer set. On the Calipers I used G2 Custom Color Match Brake Caliper Paint. Got extra set of tire pressure sensors those things are not cheap.

Did you just brush on that caliper paint? What'd you use to clean them up before painting?

Wheels look good....both sets!

I used lots of brake cleaner, 2 wire brushes a small and medium size. I spent about 1 1/2 on each wheel just to get them spotless. Once I got the wheels cleaned I brushed a coat on each and waited 15-20 min between coats. I ended up with 3 coats on the wheels. I ran out time and did not have enough paint but I want to paint the center hub as well. So I am ordering 1 more kit.

It looks like you painted the brake pad itself? Did you buy any other brushes or did the ones in the kit work fine?

I did buy another brush but I did not need it. The kit come with one brush and once you mix the activator in the can you have about 3 1/2 hours to use the paint or it gets hard. So if you do this make sure you get all the wheels calipers cleaned off first. I was able to jack up the front and get both tires off and I cleaned calipers then I put the tires back on and moved to the back. Once I got the back cleaned I painted the rear first to completion and put the tires back on. I moved up front and took the 2 tires off again and painted the front calipers to completion. It would have been lot easier if I had lift so I could have taken all the tires off at the same time.

I did paint the outside of brake it just looked odd not doing so. I have a feeling it may not hold. Brake and some of the tight corners is was took me so long just getting them cleaned.
