reverse lamp question
HI folks,
I noticed that I have a burnt reverse lamp on the driver's side, so in looking in the manual to see what bulb number it is, I noticed that it has the same part number as the tail/stop bulbs.
Thinking this was a typo, I looked at the actual reverse bulb and noticed that it was indeed a dual-filament bulb.
My question is, what is the reason for having a dual filament bulb for the reverse light?

Actually, I think I know the answer for that. As I went to replace the bulb, I noticed that there are spots in the bulb holder where their should be metal prongs for the "dimmer" circuit empty.
In other words, the only metal prongs that are in the socket power on the bright circuit (filament). The other prongs for the dimmer light are not in the socket.
But I appreciate your input Weed.
