Default pics of lift, finally, opinions please?.. thanks

Howdy.

I finally have some pics of the lift to share.. Tell me straight, do the tires look too small?

here is some background-

I leveled it w/ 2.5" rough country keys.. (torsion bar).. didn't like that at all.. Had a slight rub at full lock-up, and couldn't turn and compress suspension at same time w/o huge CLUNK.. that- I hated.. So, I lifted..

4-5" Rough Country front.. used the rough country level keys because I had tossed the OE keys.. and, it adds to the lift- so it is more than 5" w/ the torsion bars set like they were pre-level... For the rear, I used skyjacker easy ride +3" leaves over-top a 2" block.. I'm really thinking about losing the block all together.. the new leaves brought me back to stock height from the collapsed/used leaves, and added 3" all by themselves.. I have dead nuts 5" in the back, and I have the same 'rake' I had before the level.. w/o the blocks, I think it will be dead level again..

here is a comparison between the two:

Here are some more pics- please, don't be shy, tell me what you think!

thanks.

Honestly, I'm digging that look. What size tires are those?

On a side note, I'm looking for a set of keys...hint hint

where you at Marine? I work aboard Camp Lejeune.. Mebe we could work something out if you're interested and knock it out in one day..

the front I'm not worried about though to be honest.. those blocks in the rear are likely going to join hoffa though.

the tires are Cepek FC-II 35"x12.5" around 20" MotoMetal 951's..

Personally, I'd lose the blocks in the back. If the front ends up being higher, adjust it SLIGHTLY down to level with the key screws, that's what they are for. Any amount you bring the keys down will also ease the angle of the CV shafts which is never a bad thing.

Then, I think the 35s would also fill the wells rather nicely while still having pleny of room for flex...

thanks Hammer- I think I'll lose the two inch blocks tomorrow.. also:

how much do torsion settings 'settle'? I swear, I had the thing aligned on one of those fancy machines, but it looks to me like the front is toeing in now..

I'll swing by the shop tomorrow and get them removed, the torsion bars set right, and the alignment re-done.

I like the look after lifting and don't think that tires look small, just fine.

Thanks brother that's awesome, however my dog days are long over. And Camp Lejeune is probably the only place I don't miss. Hell, even Hansen was nicer to me, ha ha. I'm living in Phoenix nowadays. But thanks again, i mean it.

yea i agree with hammer. lose the blocks and you can adjust the keys to make it exactly level, or a rake either way

tires will look perfect when you do that also

thanks guys.. the blocks come out tomorrow..

there is an indentation in the body panels on the side of the truck that starts right behind the front wheel well and runs to the rear bumper..

I just measured 34.5" from the bottom of the indentation to the ground right in front of the door, and 38" right before the rear bumper.. that's a floggin' 3.5" difference.. crazy.. tomorrow it will be an inch and a half.. that will be hardly noticeable, and will not effect ground clearance one bit.. go figure..

thanks guys.
