Looks awesome man. And i personally would leave the spears for functionality reasons and like ram_bo said it looks really good with the fender flares.

yeah they are. Im going to tape off around them and spray them with VHT tint. Gives them a black chrome effect.

Looks good man, i would say leave the spears, they are functional and dont stick out like a sore thumb on your truck. Also are you planning on black your truck out?

There are two issues with removing the badges 1) paint underneath hasn't faded with the rest of the paint 2) the edges of the letters have accumulated wax and dirt

I found 1) is hardly noticable on my 08 that I debadged about 6 months ago. 2) I used a light rubbing compound to lightly buff the wax edge off after I cleaned it really well to remove the dirt. Then I waxed the entire truck. The letter outlines are now completely gone.

The darker paint can still be seen if you are looking for it, however, mine isn't so noticeable that you can see it if you aren't looking for it.

yeah I dont know what Im going to do. Mine is ghosted underneath the letters. I've tried rubbing compound and wax. Nothing seems to work. Thats the main reason Im leaving my spears on.
