debadged and quick wash

Default debadged and quick wash

ok i debadged the truck and did a quick clean on it. Any ideas on how to get the outline of the badges to go away? And aslo i was thinkin about removing the door spears should i leave them or take them off?

Looks good reefguy89! I believe most of us have used our trusty dewalt drill and an eraser wheel from your local auto parts store to do away with the residue.

I say get rid of the spears as well.

i used the eraser wheel but there is still the outline no sticky residue probly gonna have to wet sand and buff it out

wet sand or clay bar, i left mine and i dont notice em anymore but my truck is usually dirty so im sure that helps.

there was a thread on this awhile ago. The used that nufinish or w/e in the orange container from walmart to get it off

Wet sanding would scare me on a small portion of the door like that and more work...I used some meguires scratch-x or something of that nature and then waxed and polished it.

I think you should leave the door spears.

What has to happen to get rid of the "visible letters" is a buff and wax on the entire door (or entire truck for that matter). The reason it is still visible is because the paint is essentially brand spankin' new under those letters, and although the rest of the truck looks clean and shiny it really isn't in comparison to that area.

I don't know what to say about the spears. I keep him-hawing about mine, but haven't made a decision. I think mine are gonna stay.
