Fuel Additive
Just bought my first Dodge truck about a month ago and was wondering what kind of fueladditive you guys run. I have a 4.7l Magnum and wanted to give it a shot of fuel additive and wanted to use something good. Thanks
lucas tune-up in a bottle is pretty good stuff!
just bout every parts store has it, skinny bottle bought 6 inches tall.
and if you can find a distributor in your area this stuff here is amazing!!!

i used to sell it but got tired of that "didnt have the time" but i just started using it again! almost immediate power increase and anywhere from 1 mpg up to 7mpg increases have been reported.
i got 2mpg in my old truck and my dad got almost 4 in his dodge caravan.
his best friend said he got an increase in his buick but i never heard what.
just started putting it in my ram a few days ago so i dont have any numbers yet.
its been used as an industrial additive for years especially in heavy mining equipment dump trucks etc.
one of things it does is lower the flash point of your fuel allowing prolonged burning of the gas during your downstroke getting more power and better mpg's
im not here trying to sell it like i said im not a distibutor anymore but if you get the chance to try it jump on it! usually takes around 3 tanks for the mpg increases but the power increase is pretty much immediate.
if you cant find somehwere to buy it let me know i think i can get in touch with one. but i think its available online through the site.
good luck

I use Lucas Tune Up in a Bottle at oil change time (every 5k miles).
I am a Sea Foam NUT, use it in boat engines, yard engines and generators. But I don't tend to run it in my vehicles unless I know one is gonna sit for a while. It's an excellent fuel stabilizer as well as it's cleaning properties.

Thanks for the input. Just changed my oil Saturday so thought that would be a good time to post this thread and put a little something in the tank. Put a bottle of Lucas tune up in a bottle in tonight. Had it on sale at Autozone $5.99. First time using it so will see how it does.

I've seen guys swear one is great and the other sucks for years and kinda snicker every time I read or hear it.
I primarily use the Lucas because of availability and the fact that Lucas was a sponsor when my old man and uncle were race track mechanics. Call it product loyalty I guess. I've used Techron as well and wouldn't hesitate to use it either.
Just remember that any alcohol based product should not be used in higher quantity or more often than at the manufacturers recommended intervals. Alcohol can be hard on seals and isn't good for rubber or plastic based lines either...
