Default Wheel/tire combos with leveling kit?

Starting to think about things I can do to my truck to make it more appealing to a younger generation, such as my son. I'll be proud to pass it down to him in a couple of years and he seems like he would be happy to have it, with some modifications. I see very few trucks (Dodge or otherwise) with black aftermarket rims and tires that look good to me, but he seems to go ape over just about any of them. I'm on my second set of tires, which are oem replacements and still have a lot of miles left in them. So, not sure how soon I'd want to replace them just to get something to fit a new set of rims.

Anyway, I'm wondering what size rims and/or tires fit well on a 3rd gen 4x4 if I get a leveling kit installed. I don't want to go giant or over aggressive on the tire tread, just want something that fills the fender wells nicely.

If anyone has any pix of a Ram with black rims and tires installed, would love to see those as well.

Thanks

A nice 17" rim with some 33" tires would look great on a leveled 4x4. Somewhere in the range of 285/70-17's - 305/70-17's on some black wheels if you so desire. I am a younger guy (23) and I would be thrilled if my dad passed down his truck to me, that's a pretty cool idea and a great reason to upgrade to a 4th Gen

For what it's worth, my truck has 17's with 285/70-17's which is appx. a 33" tire and I love the ride/look. I was thinking about having the wheels powder coated but have decided that I am happy with how the stock silver wheels look on the truck. I may end up doing something with some plasti dip at some point however.

Are those moto metals? My roommate has those on his truck but in chrome, they look great but a lot of people around here have them in chrome... The black looks nice.

Here is another picture of my 00 F150 that I traded in on my new Ram. It has 16" Black Eagle wheels with 285/75-16 Dynapro M/T's.
