Default Wheel tire question?

i have been considering getting a set of wheels prob 17" i have stock 20" wheels tires now. from what you guys have said 17" wheels will help with towing and less rotating mass. the area where i am confused is if i go with a 17" wheel if i go with the same or similar height and width as my stock setup will there still be benefits as the actual tire diameter will be the same? thanks mike

You'll still see benefits in weight and towing capacity. There are more benefits than just the weight issue, you'll have added benefits from having more sidewall to work with...

17's are also for the most part cheaper, and a little more cushion to the larger sidewall

My Ram came with 20's as it was a Thunder Road package SLT but I told the dealer But I told them I did not want the harsh ride of the 20" rims and made them swap to 17" rims. I also want less weight and more towing capacity. I got seat heaters and a bedliner in trade lol.
