stick with coppers...plats and some exotics will fry a coil pack over time...

Damnit, you had to bring that up didnt you. Well, thats actually what I did for a few months. I thought I was all set... got a new family truck and got to keep the old one, with the wifes permission! Then, one day I changed the parking location in the driveway for olyelr (for some damn reason) and my wife backed into it with her rig. It was at that point that I figured it was really becoming more of a hassle, and we could always use some extra cash... so I sold it. My wifes still mad at me for it... mainly cause she has to listen to a grown man cry once in a while as I reminisce about it. On a side note, my wifes Denali had over $6,000 worth of work done to the back quarter, and all I had to do with olyelr was get the 18mm out and loosen up some bumper bolts to readjust it

Well, yeah, I guess. But, the truck was only about 20 ft behind her, and it wasnt like she got floored it or anything... she couldnt have been going 5 MPH.

What really ticked me off was I had parked it behind her about 10 minutes before it happened, AND I WAS IN THE VEHICLE WITH HER WHEN IT HAPPENED. We were in a hurry to get somewhere, and I completely forgot about it and for whatever reason she didnt look behind her before she started moving. Ugh.

The reason it was so expensive was not necessarily the extent of the damage, but what it had damaged. Not only did it need a new rear hatch, but it caved in the tailight area which means the entire rear quarter panel (all the way to the back doors) had to be replaced. Lots of labor.

if you dont want the same problem again down the road make sure you put the anti seize on the threads because aluminum heads are really bad about sticking plugs! personally i dont think the stuff works all the time everytime but its worth the effort i guess.

Well, tomarrow I will be changing the plugs, and if everything goes well ALL the new plugs will have a coating of anti-sieze on the threads. Boy I sure hope all goes well.

dont use alot..it can ground and short and could cause misfires..

Welp, everything went great. All the plugs came out without issue, and it only took me 2 hrs and 3 beers. I was wanting to get the NGK V-Powers but nobody had them in stock so I went with the original Champion replacements. I'm pretty sure the plugs I pulled are original as they were in rough shape.
Hopefully I will be reporting back with a 2 1/2 MPG increase, but something tells me I wont.

if your plugs werent worn badly then you probably wont see much of an increase especially with champion coppers. not that theyre a bad plug, just sayin in my opinion you should have held out for 24 hours and had the parts store order the ngk's from their warehouse.
