i got 40k on i decieded to change them because truck was a year in storage so i did all aroud fix

That's reasonable. My Ram had 86K when the plugs were changed. My C got new plugs at 49K.

Ya but now i got the old ones back in my truck is eating way more gas

You did re-gap 'em, didn't you? The "way more gas" could be several things.
