Engine turn off

Default Engine turn off

I changed my sparkplugs and i was driving on highway and i accelerated and my engine would just stall out i switched back to factory ones and its been gone so what coulde been the problem

08 4.7l and used bosch platinum sparks

Which plugs did you change? The ones that would have likely been needed would have been the top eight and they're basic spark plugs, I believe. Only the bottom eight are platinum and their change interval is 90K or 102K

ya i changed the tops but than its when the engine died so i went back to the old ones.

Well, the tops aren't supposed to be platinum, but I can't see that making it cut off. Something else is awry, methinks.

Well ever since i put the old ones back it hasnt done it anymore

Its those weird bosch ones where there is four prongs on the bottum i think they where just not right

I wonder if one or two plugs got grounded out. Many people have posted instances of one of the ground electrodes breaking off and falling into the combustion chamber. That would seem unlikely on new plugs. How many miles on the truck?
