I like it without the cross, its just a little too much. WTF on you just randomly switching out for another truck? Crazy

If you dont mind me asking, how much did they charge to do the black trim? I would like that trim with a mesh inside of it. Not a cut mesh like yours, I would like more of a 1/2in hole.

also, how did you mount it?

Ha ha I dont know. Got a wild itch to get a new truck. Being I had a good buyer I figured why not! Kind of funny the one I got ended up having the same wheels... I will be selling that setup soon and getting a more uncommon wheel with a 37 after I build the new suspension.

As far as the ring do you mean how much was it to powder coat it? I designed the ring and had is laser cut myself if thats what you mean. I thought about making my mesh with circles or ovals or something else but ended up designing the diamond look. Now that I mad that one im thinking about making myself a new one with no cross and possibly another style mesh? I dont know! Im to indecisive right now! and mounting... if you look back in the picture of it on my computer you can see 4 mounting tabs laser cut into the mesh. These line up with the factory holes on the top of the shell. I made it so that the center top and bottom as well as the center left and right actually are longer bolts that go into the grille shell. I left 1" of the "cross" and drilled a hole in each. worked out super slick and super solid.

I think the cross and brushed mesh would have looked good on my black truck and thats why I did it. But this truck im thinking about making it more of a blacked out look. Do another HID retro but paint the housing black. Black out the chrome portion on the bumpers. Black grille trim and mesh with just the Stainless bolts...

Update... Ok I have been wating for this grille with the cross to get back from powdercoat. Im stoked. I think it looks awesome that the cross doesnt pop soooo much now. Im having another trim piece cut without the cross so I can change it out for a plain trim later if I change my mind. For now I love it though. I think the trim without a cross and the brushed stainless mesh would look awesome too... pictures...

here is a shot of the backside so you can see the stainless hardware with lock nuts as well as how the mesh is laser cut from a solid piece of stainless steel and all the bolt holes and mounting tabs are all integrated in...

I would like that without the cross. It would look damn good on my truck. You need to get them to build/cut you one and then send it to me. Sounds like a deal?

Looks sweet man, you should put some hood spears on now and it would blend it nicely. I like it. Wonder what it would look like if you made some huge teeth to put in the grill instead of the cross. Ha, ha, probably be crazy looking.. I like it man, can not wait to see some more of your mods..
