Default What do ya think about this grill? looks like an RPB but way cheaper

Hey I was wondering what you guys think about this Do It Yourself RBP style gril? Any one got one of these? Ive been wanting an RBP for a long time for my 06 but there so freakin expensive. Looks like I might have found a winner when I was browsing ebay for a new grill. It doesnt seem like much work to put it together. Id rather spend a little time and save 800 bucks, plus I can say i made it my self. heres the link to ebay

bump bump... come on guys doesnt any one have some sore of input on these things. I have access to a welder and its just simple tack welds so that shouldnt be a problem. And the rest of the tools needed seem pretty basic so I think im gonna give it a shot. I love the look of these inserts, it gives it a really mean look i think

Looks good to me. If I trusted myself to make them I would give it a shot. I have no complaints about the stock grill besides being chrome. I will just plasti-dip them and be done with it.

looks good but I dont think the material seems worth $250 since labor is the main part. Id like one though

That's what I want to do to mine. Did you take the inserts out when you plasti dipped them or did you just tape the front of the truck up real good?

I just masked everything off real good, took about an hour to mask and about ten minutes to spray. One good thing about the plasti-dip also is that if you get a speck or two of it on the paint it just comes right off. you know how it is you inevitably have some tiny area that the spray finds a way through.
