The wire connectors are different from 02-05 and 06-08. You cannot just plug an 08 taillight into an 05 Ram. You will have to change out the connectors, and even then I am not sure if all of the wires are the same..

Well, can't he just use all the connectors and whatnot from his lights and just the plastic cover from an 08? Just twist the bulbs into place in the backside.

Found the answer!


taillights fit with slight modification. Extra bulb on the 02-06's needs to be capped.

anybody wanna swap a set of mint 2005 tails for a set off a 2007-2008?
