I just did mine about a month ago. I used plastidip, thinking it will hold up better against sticks and brush that I might get into hunting.

Great job AJMAG... that looks awsome against the white.

ricer...I've been thinking about making some inserts from some type of wire mesh or whatever (black of coarse) to tame down the amount of chrome on the front of my truck. After seeing your stock ones blacked out like that, i think i will do the same. That looks great!!!

That looks good. I'm also thinking about doing my headlights too. Can't decide on body color match or black. Once i get the lift on and the black wheels, the nerfs are getting the black treatment. Your front end has a whole new look. Very nice.

Thanks I appreciate the comments. The color is definitely one to get used to but it looks great when it is all cleaned up, and even better with these new black accents.

I decided to go a different way with the truck. I have always had lifted trucks, and this time I am going to lower it. I just lowered the truck this morning after waiting too long for a spindle that would lift my truck that doesn't cost $2k. To lower my truck it cost be $200, and it looks great! I am going to go about an inch lower in the rear, maybe tomorrow and then I am on the hunt for new wheels/tires since these 17's and AT's aren't the perfect combination for a lowered truck I think you guys will like the outcome when it's all done. The Sunburst orange color with black 20's is going to look slick.

Thanks! Yea I think a piece of just the right size wire mesh would look awesome behind the grill. Something like mesh or expanded metal (something besides the honeycomb look)would look good and also give it the customized look. Nothing against honeycomb, just I would want the custom look.Name: ed8.jpg

And if our trucks had come with horizontal slats, the honeycomb kits would be flying off the shelves!
