Default So I wired up some new reverse lights..

So finally gotten tired of not being able to see when backing up at night so I went to pick up some goodies to fix the problem.

First step was to drill out the bumper with a 4.5" hole saw. Normally I would be pretty nervous about this, but since I have a dent in the one corner from previous owner finding a pole at some point this is more of a test bumper before I replace it.

Wired them up to a rocker switch in the dash. Rocker on the right is just a dead switch until I need it for something.

All lights on

Pics are a little deceiving with the light spread. Looks like a spot light in the pic but it does have good coverage.

All in all for all the wire, switches, relay, connectors, lights, etc setup ran $70 and a day of installing it.

Yeah it's just run along the frame on the drivers side following the wire harness that's already there. Wrapped in loom of course.

I thought about just mounting them under the bumper but since the truck is used for snowplowing there is a tendency for them to get knocked off.

VERY NICE. Very professional look to it.

I made up a set but used a receiver for them. Downside is of course that I can't have a ball in the hitch and them at the same time.

I don't think I'm going to cut my color matched bumper to do what you did, but I'm thinking of re-making mine in a way I can slide it over my 2" hitch so I can use it with a ball.

And with the height of my bumper they are perfectly at Rice Rocket windhsield level as seen from my buddies Jetta.
