Knuckles and spindles are the same thing. Just two different terms for the same part.

Ok so my dad doesn't want me to lift it but he's not buying it. What can I tell him to help convince him that its not a bad idea. His only argument as of now is bigger tires=less mileage.

Is dad paying for the truck? If so you really have no argument.

Benefits from being lifted? Not a whole lot unless you are an avid off road guy or need clearance for bigger tires (which would only be for clearance again.) Most guys lift for the look, but it does negatively affect your mileage.

So it's a college present? That's cool. Congratulations and good choice on continuing your education. We're going to need it.

Ask Mom, she is always the one with the last say anyway.. Dad thinks he makes the rules, we all know the reality behind that.

Another question. Where should I take my truck to have the lift kit installed? I'm definitely not attempting to do it myself. I'm around the Ft. Lauderdale, FL area if anyone knows anywhere by me that does it.

You could bring it up here and we could do it....LOL

if nothing else you need to pick up the phone and call some local shops and ask for some pricing. If they dont do it ask them if they know any one or shops that do to get get some leads.
