Question No Sound From Door Speakers?

So, my stock driver door Infinity speaker blew last summer and eventually the door speakers stopped working all together..

yesterday, i bought new 6X9's and a new head unit. JVC head unit and Pioneer 6X9's, nothing special, but still i have no sound from the door speakers.. i'm thinking it has to do with the amplifier?

HELP!! lol

It's possible the amp is blown. The speaker wires need to be checked. Use a meter or just a flashlight battery to see if the speakers work at all. Check that on the leads from the amp to the speakers. Are you sure there is an amp?

i'm hearing white noise from the speakers, but i'm not getting any actual sound. they're definitely getting power to them though.

i see the harness where the wires for the front door speakers lead into underneath the kick panel on the driver side. they lead into a white box but then again, so do all the other wires... there's a LOT of them haha i'm just completely lost as to what it could be though because my speakers stopped working before it changed the head unit.. i thought the amp would be inside the dash somewhere or under the kick panel on the passenger side??? but i'm not entirely sure.

and it would only make sense that there is an amplifier, it has the infinity sound system in it.. and i checked all the fuses, they are fine. i can only assume the amp is blown but idk what the stock amp looks like so i may not even be talking about the correct component when i refer to the white box that i mentioned earlier. i'm not a dummy when it comes to car audio, but FACTORY parts?? i'm at a loss. i'm good with aftermarket and thats about it....

What kind of harness did you use? Good quality one?

I just did an aftermarket HU install in a buddies Denali with the Bose system and had the same problem. Turned out to be a ****ty harness.

I would take the HU out and sit it on a pillow and connect my speakers directly to the back of the HU itself. That will rule out the HU or speakers. If it works then i would run new speaker wire from the HU to the doors and call it a day.

y'know, that's exactly what I was going to do because I'm at a complete loss for where that stupid *** amp is and trying to fix it. If I were to try and get another Infinity amp from factory, it would cost me an arm and a leg (this much, I know without looking further into it.) Thanks!
