No way I would touch an engine like than with the fuel costs of today. The owner I probably praying someone will take it away from him.......lol
Tis' true, I got my Grand Cherokee at gas price hike time in '06 as the price approached $4 a gallon and the owner panicked that she'd never be able to unload a V8 4x4 SUV. KBB was just under $17k at the time and I got it for $11,250. This woman was actually a nervous wreck when I got there to look at it and when I told her I already had a V8 4x4 and was looking for a I6 4x2 and kept dropping the price till I took it.
Funny thing about that deal was, the 4.7 HO 4x4 got better gas mileage than either of the 4.0 I6s that were my ex's got, at least before I lifted the thing and put bigger meats on it.
Is there a moral to my ramblings? Yes... See if you can act disinterested in it because of the mileage it gets and maybe the seller will drop the price enough to offset a year or two of gas price difference...
Well I found a 02 cummins sport from Az. But has a salvage title and has had the level 3 inspection and has a reassigned vin, talking to the guy and the pictures look good Ge said he bought from someone in california anyways the price is right just nervous about the title and 2000 miles away
Did some more investigating with the DMV there because it has a reassigned VIN it was fixed with multiple trucks so I think I am going to avoid that one so the hunt is on
