Default 2009 interior fit a 2006?

Hey guys, just picked up a 2006 Ram 2500 4x4 diesel.
The interior is cloth and a little smelly of cigarette smoke. So I have been looking for a nice leather set for it, and I found a mint leather 2009 interior/seats.
My question is, will the 2009 seats bolt in place in my 2006 truck without any major modifications? Thanks

Welcome to the site. Ive never seen anyone try to swap seats from those years. Im assuming this isnt a local deal? If it is then just measure and see what you got. Do some pics if you do swap them out

If its just the seat covers themselves, you can remove them and wash them. You can use a washing machine ONLY ON THE GENTLEST CYCLE you have, or you will shred them. Don't go overboard on detergent and let them air dry when they're done. I did this when I did the cushion rehab, worked out great.

Just an update, I ended up finding a good deal on a BRAND NEW 2010 set of black leather, powered seats from a truck that was damaged on it's way to the dealer
I measured the mounting holes in the base and they are the exact same as the 2006 that I have, so it WILL fit. I also picked up a dark grey carpet so it matches batter with the seats than the light grey that is in there now. I washed the carpet today, so as soon as it is dry, I'll take some pic's of the install and share it.

It's encouraging to hear that we can use the seats from the new gen Ram.

At the same time my seats seem to be holding up beautifully so I'd never need to swap.

So here we go!! Picked up my "brand new" 2010 Leather seats, and also grabed a dark grey carpet that matches the seats, and started the install. The seats bolt right in place no problem. The power seat harness is different, but I hardwired them and they work great. I havent got to the back yet,.... I'll do that tomorrow.

that looks comfortable. Im glad they fit! But the only thing I wonder is about the back. Do you know if they were out of a crew cab or just quad cab? Those seats look big for the back and might not fit in our tiny back end for the non megas

So I just tried fitting the rear seats in.... They will require some small modifications to fit the rears. The seat physically fit in place, which is the good news, but the floor mount bracket extends about 3" too far back. Looking at it, it should be pretty simple to chop off about 3" off the back of the brackets, drill some new holes that match up with the holes in the floor and it should be perfect. It's raining really hard right now, so I have to hold off until it clears up. I'll post some pictures.

But the good news for anyone else out there is that you CAN fit 2010 seats in gen3's.

So I get to update my truck and still keep my awesome running 5.9 Cummins
