I have an 06 Ram 1500 quad cab. Was wondering if I should get the levelling kit?? Anybody know if its worth it??

 

I just did mine about two months ago and I am really glad I did. It doesn't have that "hunting dog" look and I love the way it sits. I used spring spacers I got off of e-bay from springbender out of Boise Idaho and it took a me and a friend about two hours to put them in. They really aren't bad to do.

HAHAHA, I knew I could get a rise out of someone. It was only a matter of time.

In all seriousness though, if you can't stand the factory rake of our trucks (which we all can't) then sure get a leveling kit. Also, are you looking at fitting bigger tires, or keeping the stock wheels/tires? If not, there are two ways of leveling the truck, lifting the front 2" or lowering the rear 2". It is about $100 for a front spring spacer (and you might require new shocks or at least extenders for the tops of the shocks for an additional cost) and about $65 for 2" drop shackles for the rear and that's all you would need if you went that route.

Here is a picture of the front of my truck when it was leveled using 2" spacers and new ProComp E9000 shocks.

 

Positive: Better look/stance, clearance for larger tires, better ground clearance, chicks dig it (LOL).

Negative: lesser aerodynamics, poorer gas mileage, stiffer ride, greater possibility of suspension component wear/failure & driveline issues.

 

I get horrible gas mileage how mine is. BUT I get compliments on a daily basis almost
