Default Custom Tail Light Ideas

Two things... 1. Looking for some ideas for a DIY custom tail light mod...kinda got the idea from the eyelids on headlights and body color inside headlights...makes me want to mod the headlights, and do something to the tails as well.

2. I have one idea of making LED tail lights and have them light up a few rows (of LEDs) at a time sort of similar to the old school Mercury Cougars, and now I beleive the new Mustangs do the same thing...where there are 3 sections of lens on each side and when brakes are applied the inner most lights illuminate and hold on then the second follow and then the third, and then rolls back over to the first and repeats until the brakes are released...I was thinking something like that woiuld be cool where the bottom of my lights illuminate and a slight delay before a few more rows of LEDs light up, etc until it reaches the top and then repeats...does this sound like it may be cool, or does it sound gay to you guys?? I will most definitely post a detailed DIY Instruction on this if I go through with it..lemme know what ya think as well as any other ideas

Personaly I think that might confuse drivers behind you more then anything.

Sequential lights for the signals and hazards sure...but I'd stay away from that idea for the brake lights.

Yeah, I was thinking about making it say "Hemi" across the tailgate when the tail lights are on or something like that...still just thinking about that though

I'm sorry, are you under the impression that I allow cars close enough behind me to really see this?? LOL No, I thought about that as well...but I figured we have some pretty big lights in comparison to a lot of vehicles out there, so I thought as long as I have big enough sections that are the size of some of the smaller lights out there, and if there is at least 1 section that is always solid then I should be fine...again this is all talk right now, still in the consideration process...and still gotta build the prototype and everything to see how much I like it

More ideas are welcome, and yes, if I do go through with it I will post pics, vids, and an instructional
