Ive thought about this. The fenders arnt too bad but if you get the front you need the back, and paint on all of that will not match your doors

Thanks guys. And yes.. the whole point was to get the newer style look, thus the 06-08 fenders. To get the 06-08 look all you need are the headlights and fenders, and a sexier square bottomed grille if you got the extra cash!!

Paint. Good question. It was my first attempt. I used a 3.5hp Makita compressor with 6.5cfm at 40psi from the tool rental department in Home Depot. Lowes had a 2 HVLP paint spray package for $70 with a regulator, one 1.7 tip for the primer and one 1.4 tip for the paint. Paint is from John Deere. It's called Blitz Black... plenty of write ups on this stuff, goes down super easy and is tough as nails!! It's also INCREDIBLY easy to touch up for you can get the primer and paint in a spray can... i've already touched up a few spots. Its a "satin black" sort of look, apparently after wet sanding and buffing the shine can be increased.... not sure if I'll go that direction.

Cool, I wasn't aware that the 06-08 front end just bolts in.. I was pretty sure it was blitz black, cause i was gonna paint my 61 chevy apache the same color because it's cheap and looks great.. Was it a pain in the A$$ to bolt it in?

Yea I would have to keep it metallic black and the flakes are about impossible to match. Too heavy and they get lost in the base and too light and the paint looks like all flake.

I'm looking at getting a 72-77 bronco and was going to paint it with the blitz black. Glad to hear you like it

first of all, you are in Cali. It would cost so much in gas that I would probably lose money even if you gave it to me for free

It has to be 66-77 though. Only body style I like

Haha, I know. I just did a ton of work to it and have now lost interest. I have too much going on right now and have no time to take it out, so it is just sitting in my lot with a brand new worked tranny, Tcase, etc. Glad I spent a bunch of money on it.

I love the older Bronco's too, but they are hard to find and when you do find one it's usually in crap shape, and people still want lotsa $$$ for them.
