Default Just debadged

So since it feels like the world is melting down here in SoFla I decided to let the truck sit out and debadge it. I didn't take any pics since Matt pretty much covers it in his How To (which is what i used). I only took off the "RAM" because it was just annoying me to look at lol. As far as what I used was fishing line, some handles for the line, and a couple pencil erasers. Thats all I needed really. So after cutting off the letters I was able to just use the edge of one of my handles to get all the glue off and then I used the pencil erasers to get off what was left over. Only thing I messed up on was an idiot move on my part. I tried to substitute Go-Jo for Goo Gone (which I didn't even need). So I kinda scratched up the paint a little on the passenger side. It isnt too bad it just looks hazy really and you can still kinda see the RAM outline but you live and you learn I guess.

that sucks. I think Go-Jo has fine sand in it, so you pretty much took 800 grit to your paint. Easy fix though, get some 1500 and 2000 grit sand paper and a good compound (I like meguiars ultimate compound) and just wetsand the scratches out.

Y'all really need to invest the $12 in a pinstripe eraser wheel for doing this kinda stuff! You don't need ANY chemicals if you use one, it will get the goo off a truck in seconds and about all you gotta do is wipe with a soft cloth or microfiber when you're done to get the fine powder off it turns the glue/paper/etc. into. (and of course wax since it's a new spot that's never seen wax.

Not a bad thing to just have in the tool box. I've found it's invaluable for getting tree sap off the paint too, especially this here Georgia pine sap that's like having honey poured on the truck...

If I hadnt used the Go-Jo it would have been perfect. The driver side is perfect. It was just a dumb mistake.
