Default Diablo Programmer Help

I'm in the market for a Diablo programmer for my '03 ram 5.7L... My preference was the trinity because it comes with the LCD screen to view vehicle info, i.e. digital speedo, tach, fuel, etc. However, I talked with Diablo about the Trinity because on their site it says it does not support the 03, they informed me this is not true.

"The Trinity actually does support the 2003 5.7L HEMI however because of the nature of that specific model year of truck the adjustable parameters and feature set is far more limited than on the 04, or the 05-10."

My questions to you all are;
1.) is it worth it to pay that much for a programmer that can only deliver half the features?
2.) if the pcm is the problem, is it even possible to switch to an '04s?
3.) finally, if this is all just a waste of time, is there another programmer/LCD screen package thats even worth looking into?

Any input would be helpful, thanks.

More early model Ram support is coming, or so they say, but it will be some time.

Yep, they were told to focus on the 11 models first. Then it will probably be the '12 models, etc.

I thought about buying the trinity...but I could not justify spending 600 dollars on my truck when all i have plans for is a CAI and 180 T Stat. I would like to get the predator as my dad has one for his srt8, but I have been reading concerns about not being able to make a harder shift etc with my 04? Can anyone clarify if a predator is a good choice for an 04 even though there is not much to do with it? My dad had a buddy of his tune his jeep for him, data logging etc and it turned out wicked difference on the dyno. Hoping the same for me....

There is no trans tuning for the 03 and 04's, full tuning is there for the 05 & 06's and the 07+ I believe only have part throttle upshifts still 1-3 , but no downshft adjustments. With an 04 and basic boltons I'd go the superchips rout. If you were diving into the engine then the DSP or trinity or SCT
