Default I know I promised the wifey...but...mod questions

Ok....So I promised the wifey I would not touch this thing, but I think I have to....Driving down the autobahn towards the house, I have to come up a very big hill. About halfway I have to downshift to 4th in order to make it up the hill....I am running a 265/75R17 right now and looking to put 33s under it, but I am having a hard time finding what I want....Now in my mustang, I have 4.30s and it screams at about 90mph....That is something I don't want, as I drive higher that states speeds (on avg, 75-90 mph given the mood) Most of what I have read on here pertains to the guys with the autos....what about 5 spds? I have noticed that there is a big jump down in RPMs from 4th to 5th..(I have 3.55s in back now) What ratio should I be looking at then?
The other question is about a Tuner...Right now I am using a SCT tune for the stang, but since it is fairly modified, I don't know if I want to go the SCT route...So I was thinking maybe SuperChips, but I read something yesterday on here, that SuperChips doesn't support the '04s+ ? Is this correct? Am I stuck with SCT then?
Any help would be appreciated...biggest thing is that d@mn hill....I have having to downshift on the autobahn...h3ll, semi's are runnin about 70-80 over here...

4.88 is the biggest you can go since your 2 wheel drive. but most just put 4.10's or 4.56's.

A promise is a promise. Keep modding the 'stang and leave the truck as is :P
That said - Gears Gears Gears or Smaller Tires

Superchips DOES support the '04+ fully. Specifically the flashpaq 3865 model. They have limited support for the '03s because they used a different PCM.

Also, be careful about gearing too low (4.88 for example). If you're just going to be rolling on 33s, you'll be limiting your top end just like your mustang. I'd think 4.10 or maybe 4.56 would be okay up to 80 mph without excessive complaining from the gears.

I would say 4.10's with the 33's since you are mainly highway driving.

For what it's worth, I have 315/70/17's that are supposed to measure 34.5. They actually measure about 33". I have 4.56 gears and I'm at 2100rpms @ 70mph

Thanks for the input guys! Leaning more towards 4.30s-4.56s now...This way I can go up to 33s with little or no worries...
@Kay...the problem with modding the Mustang more, is that it is almost as modded as I want it to be (the only thing missing still is a blower, and I have the Lightning blower already in the garage....the problem is that the regs over here do not allow me to cut a hole in the hood so that it would have room...)

That's why you would need a 4" or 6" Cowl induction or Cobra R hood

They have some stupid rules over there. Maybe you can trade in the M112 for a Procharger or something
