Default Just picked up a CTD

2011 ram laramie 4x4,crew cab, short bed. black leather interior. navi with alpine system, sun roof, front beckets with center console, fully loaded with a cummins diesel. Just drove it and so far its getting 15 mpg around town. The truck is built solid.

Planning on putting some 17" black wheels with some E rated A/T's and leveling the front with a carli kit.

Nice!...welcome to the CTD world.

Waiting on our 2011 Laramie 4500 CTD to show up. Can't wait for it to show up.

Hows the 6.7 feel for power?

it definitely hauls but its lacking the diesel sound, black smoke, and turbo whistle. The shifts are very firm also. The seats are way more plush than the 3rd gen. The back seats are very comfortable.

Yeah the new emissions crap sure robs the diesels of the true essence of being a diesel.

Firm shifts are good though. How it should be.

Nice rig!!!

Yeah, I'd love to have another diesel, been about 14 years since I had one. I almost bought one when I bought my '04, but with the incentives at the time on new 1500s that weren't there on the 2500s plus the fact the dealer discounted my truck another almost $8k and wouldn't budge on the CTD, I couldn't justify the cost for my 8000 miles a year I put on the truck and the 2400 lb. bass boat I was pulling.

I had a chance to pull the trigger on a new '06 Ram, still the good old 5.9 CTD for my truck plus $13,000 in late '05, but I had just ordered my lift kit, was sitting in the barn still in the box. In hindsight, I should have pulled the trigger and sold the lift kit but my Hemi has been good to me, can't cry over spilled milk.

Good luck with it...
