KOOL-VUE cold air intake
Nope, looks good, but that tab will snap off pretty quick. I've fixed a couple of those for people, they are cheap pot metal so welding won't do it, had to braze them.
Pyro had that same one, about a month after I brazed the tab at the bend, it snapped at the tube, leaving a hole in the side. Ended up just re-using the shield, filter and boot re-building the rest out of PVC.
The little rubber deal on the bolt where it goes to the sidewall I would imagine is supposed to stop vibration from snapping that bracket, but it don't quite get the job done, obviously...

Yep, just keep your eye on it. If it snaps you'll know it, the thing will start rattlin' on you and you'll hear it.
The good thing is, you can re-use all the expensive parts and get away with two 90* elbows, a 45* and about 3' of 3" PVC, under $10 in parts.
You'll notice on the one I re-built of his, it was the same CAI. I omitted the 45* and shortened it up a tad, he was concerned with the filter being so far down in the well that he'd get water in it. We can get some really deep standing water on roads with afternoon storms here in the south. I also fab'd up a bracket to attach to the heat shield rather than the rigid sidewall of the truck to take some of the vibration out of it...

He also decided to put a mini-filter on the crankcase breather rather than going back into the intake with it, but it's an easy matter to drill a hole in the PVC for it as well...
