New mod .... Steering Stabilizers ..... on a 2 wheel drive!
So I finally got around to building stabilizer brackets and installing them. No more steering wheel jerking when hitting rail road tracks and pot holes!
Brackets were pretty simple....bracket on each tie rod end, bolted on with u-bolts from tractor supply. Then built 2 L shaped brackets that bolt on with the cross member bolts. The shocks are rough country 8000's...old shocks that i used when I just had a leveling kit. Works like a dream!

sorry about the wait guys, been a busy past few days! heres a couple close up pictures of them
theyre make out of 3/8's steel...havent had one problem out of them. My welder gave out on me a few weeks ago (stupid spool motor went out), but I know a few people that will let me use theirs to weld up a couple sets of these.

The shocks I used are pretty wore out honestly....I didn't buy new ones because I was thinking the same thing. I haven't had an issue with the power steering straining with these shocks.
That's the only issue im thinking of...different lifts would require it to be mounted different. The only adjustment that can be made is on the tie rod...you can mount it on the top bottom or side.
