How do you remove the front bumper plastic cover?
I just bought some front factory tow hooks from a Ram 2500 to put on my 1500 for an easy tow point up front. I have not yet attempted it, and I'm sure it is probably an easy job, but does anyone know how that black plastic piece that is between the chrome and the painted part on the front of the front bumper comes off? I need to remove it in order to mount the hooks.
Thanks!
Thanks!
get down low, and look up. theres 5 or 6 philips head plastic screws, grab a pair of needle nose pliers, squeeeeeze the "nipple" part thats under behind the bumper and unscrew the plastic screw, its a p.i.t.a some may break i ripped all mine apart taken that pc out, then when all are out, squeeze it from the back and push towrds the front it should pop out its clipped in.... thankfully i will never put it back in unless i sell or trade in....
Man you weren't joking. Those things were a PIA to get off! Only to find that the tow hooks from a 2500 straight up won't fit and then the 1500 hooks I got from a 2004 Ram will need a bracket set to be mounted to my 2007...

Now I need to find someone who will sell me just the brackets or drop $160 on a new kit... Good thing I love this truck!
