2002 1500 4x4, I have what seems to be a spooled up rearend. It stated at about 65000 miles while making a sharp right hand turn in the highway. It made a "playing card in the spokes" type sound. Everything seemed ok for a while until I noticed a warp warp warp sound while turning sharply. The truck has about 103000 on it now and the noise is worse while turning sharply. I dont hear anything on the highway, just when I turn. noticed some pinion type noise lately in tight turns so its time to do something about it. Anyone with insight or options let me know. If there after market rebuild upgrades, fill me in.

 

Sounds like you may have a limited slip differential and it is in need of a fluid change and clutch additive. I would also check the clutch clips (aka c-clips) and look for metal shavings.
