Default ram updates

well gents... ive had this truck for all of one week now and Im really loving it so far. I just figured Id let you know how much money Ive blown on mods so far. Today, I just had my custom exhaust welded up. Oh... and she sounds meannnn. Had a flowmaster 40 3" inlet/outlet welded in and a nice cherry bomb stainless steel 3 1/2 tip exiting in the stock location. Im pretty happy with it the way it sounds. Sometime in the next few days I'll be ordering the K&N FIPK.

Im sure the gains will be minimal but it will really help to undo some of the under the hood clutter that i hate so much. Probably within the next 2 weeks I'll be ordering a superchips for my truck. And hopefully within about a month or so im gonna get a set of headers put on it.

I was thinking this cheap pair of shorties will do the trick. The only thing that bothers me is the fact that they are "painted". Does anyone know if you can just take headers somewhere and get them ceramic coated? If so, that sounds like the right way to go.

Im happy with the way the truck is comming along. Its nice to be able to do modifacations to a truck that are actually worth it. I spent alot of money on my 3.9 dakota and it still sounded terrible and was slower than *****.

yep, I bought stainless headers and had them coated at a local coatings shop that Marty recommended when he was at KRC. Check with your local Harley boys, most custom chrome shops do ceramic coating or know where to have it done.

It'll cost a bit more, but the coating is inside and out and a LOT thicker than the factory coatings...

why don't you save your self $200 and do the home brew cai? Have you thought of the e-fan and 180 t-stat?
