When my parents both became ill during the same time period, I sold my business and my ex-wife (no, she wasn't my ex at the time) looked for a home on the east coast of Florida so I could be close enough to my parents to help out.

We found a really nice home that she loved and I liked - UNTIL I found out that I couldn't have my bass boat on MY OWN PROPERTY, my truck had to be garaged after 8 pm until 8 am and a host of other crazy sh*t. They even had an ordinance where you had to submit a picture or drawing and obtain a permit to put up a bird house or bird feeder!!!

F*ck those kinda uptight a$$holes who presume to tell you what you can and can not do on your own property!!!

In south Georgia, hell I can build a building on my property without even a permit or inspection as long as nobody lives in it...

What a crock! Asking some liberal, mealy-mouthed jackass for permission to use my own property.

WOW that is the most retarded thing I've ever read. In Hollywood its not like that at all. Most of us on our street park in the grass closest to the street and no one gives a hoot. Hell my neighbor is a cop so we would know if it was illegal.

That's the whole reason I had to remove my lift and lower my truck, I am moving into a neighborhood which requires you to keep pickup trucks in the garage and it wouldn't fit with the 6" lift.

And, No, it wasn't up to me to move into the neighborhood, it's a just a somewhat temporary living situation

I could understand having a pick up parked on busy street, as my truck has been hit before. But I just do not understand why it has to be in the garage? So lets say you own some 100,000 dollar truck but cant park it in your driveway, but you can park your 100,000 dollar BMW in it? Does not correlate to me.....

To me either, but rules are rules...

I like to point out the fact that it's perfectly OK to have a 25 year old rusted out mini-van Pile of crap, but NOT OK to have a nice, new, well maintained, up to date pick up truck of any kind.

Ridiculous!
