I have a 3" leveling kit with 2" blocks in the back on my 08 ram 1500, not a thing wrong with it.
Had a 2.5" in my 07 and seems the exact same minus the 2" blocks in rear.
I would like to go 6" lift, but then truck wont fit in garage, gets kinda cold during winter here in Saskatchewan.

A LOT of guys report vibration issues, especially with the coil over front Rams with the 3" levels, 2.5" seems to be the "safe" max. Plus that much lift on the front end without any drop brackets that would come with a suspension lift puts the CVs at really bad angles as well as more wear on the ball joints and tie rod ends.
Some get away with 3" without any problems over having to replace ball joints and tie rod ends a bit sooner. Time will tell...

I know some guys that have dodge trucks with leveling kits and some with lifts, whenever you have an issue drivetrain related after the suspension mod, everyone blames the mod. Maybe its the fact that your truck has 200,000kms and u-joints, cv joints and hubs ARE wearable items. As for the shudder or virbration, all suspension manufacturers will warn you of this, its a dodge 1500 thing, the leveling or lift just makes it more noticeable, don't be alarmed, your truck will not fall apart. I put 120,000kms on my 07 dodge with leveling kit from brand new, i am ok with it when the time comes to do u'joints and cv shafts, like I said, a wearable item. Its not like your going to be doing all these repairs every 50,000kms, and look at it this way, automotive manufacturers build new vehicles to last 10yrs, they now say anything above and beyond 10yrs, your doing pretty good.
