Looks like a good install...except for this:

That's a HORRIBLE way to run wire. That's a short waiting to happen. Do yourself a favor and run the wire properly through the firewall.

Off of the top of my head, I could have thought of about 50 nicer ways to say that, but point taken. The red wire is what I'm assuming you're talking about which is not what I ran, BUT since then I cut a slot in the foam, installed a thick insulator up to the fuse box and now it's not rubbing up against the side. I also installed the plastic tubing on the three wires I ran all the way up to that point. If it shorts now, well, I'll let the fuse worry about that.

Today I got a P0440 code. After figuring out what it meant, it dawned on me that I must have knocked the hose off of the canister when I was running the lines back by the gas tank...

One quick look and it hit me in the face. Damn, I knocked the hose off of the canister! lol reset codes, good to go.

Sorry...that wasn't meant to be rude...or an attack at you personally. Definitely not the best way to word it. My apologies.

However, my point still stands. Even with wire loom over it the wire is in a vulnerable place. An easy probably 15-30 minute fix would be to pop off the plastic piece where your slave cylinder for your clutch would be in your fire wall, drill a hole through it, and then run your wire.

That aside I do really like the gauges and your mounting.

no worries, man. That shouldn't be hard to do. I know exactly where you're talking about.

Tip: the rear of the pod should roughened up with sandpaper for better adhesion. One side fell off and it may be too late but going to try hot glue to reattach. Noticed it kind of drooped on one side after being in the sun all day.

I just my gauges today and the dual over the mirror cluster I got certainly doesn't seem to fit that snug. hard to tell from your photo, but there wouldn't happen to be a 1/16 ish gap between the cluster and the headliner?

That's a shadow effect. It's actually pretty snug. What year is your truck? Maybe there's a small difference between years? Mine's a 2003. The gauge pod is also for Fords, too so who knows. 1/16" isn't all that much - I'm not sure I'd worry about it. The main thing for me is that it's up out of the way and clearly visible.
