Forum Request
Hello All. I am a new member and new owner of a 2005 Ram 1500 Daytona QC 4x4. I have owned the truck for a little over a month now and have disected this forum gathering information about these trucks, what the common problems are, good mods to perform, etc....and have looked for resolutions to issues I am experiencing with my truck, which as most of you have read, is the misfire in cylinder 2 with the constant CEL coming on. Still not resolved. I have searched and found several threads with similar problems and have read them thoroughly, but here is my request to forum members: please please please let everyone know what fixed your problem! I have read through countless topics and have spent hours on this forum, some information has been outstanding, but when it comes to specific problems, the chain of discussion more often than not ends with no closure, the originator of the topic doesn't let everyone know what solved their issue. It would be great to know the final resolution to the specific issue so it helps all of us other owners to look for a specific cause of the similar problem and give us ideas of what to try to fix the common problem.
I will keep my "CEL Frustration" topic up to date as I resolve the issue. The truck is going back to the dealer where I bought it later this week. I have spent hours and alot of dollars chasing this CEL, it's time for the dealer to fix the problem with their own money/time. I tried to figure it out on my own (with my mechanic friend) because the dealer is about 1.5 hours from me, but I don't want to spend any more of my own money on this truck when I am covered by their 3 month 3000 miles warranty.

Unfortunately, many folks come on here, outline the problem in a very sketchy way with insufficient details and never come back. Others chime in with questions and never get an answer, or with complete nonsense.
I agree, though. An accurate resolution would help many of us.

I second that request. Drives me crazy when I find something that appears to exactly match my issue and read through it carefully, only to find the OP had failed to keep the people watching updated at the end.
