Default Moog tie rod ends

If you ever need to replace them be wary of the ones in the Moog box. I found that at two seperate parts stores that the part was wrong for the part number. Tried Advanced Auto got home and noticed it looked odd. Length was right but the stud was so short it wouldn't pass far enough into spindle to even start the bolt. Went back to store and they grabbed another off shelf and sure enough same thing. They looked it up in system and it showed pic of right part which didn't match what was boxed.

Went down road to another parts store and they had two of the Moogs on the shelf and again same part that won't work in the boxes.

So off to Autozone and the had one listed under Duralast with same P/N as Moog / TRW and sure enough it was boxed right.

P/N for all is ES3538
No one had any boxed under the TRW name so not sure if those are boxed right.

The Duralast stuff is actually good stuff. I've never had any issues with their parts. Usually reboxed name brand stuff.

I replaced the TREs on my truck with Moog and didn't have any trouble. I've always tried to replace worn suspension parts with Moog. I've also heard that their quality has went down in some areas recently though.

Probably got bought out by someone else. I hear that those Optima batteries have gone way downhill since bought by Johnson Controls.

i HATE johnson controls. I am a HVACR service tech and any other there control systems are a pain in the *** to work on. you damn near have to be an electrical engineer and computer expert to work on it. Not to mention since they bought York international there sit has gone way down hill also. I am always changing evap coils cause they are leaking.
