Default What is a good 4" suspension lift kit?

I was in the process of ordering a Rancho 4" lift for my 2004 Dodge 4x4 1500 Hemi when I got an e-mail saying that the place was out of stock and that they contacted Rancho and they told them that it might take up to six months before they have any available. I don't want to wait 6 months for a lift.

So I need help finding another lift kit that is of quality. I don't want to go any higher then 4". I can't find many that offer just a 4" lift. I've heard not so many good things about Rough Country. Perhaps maybe someone around here knows of a place that has a Rancho kit in stock? I can't find many on the internet that do. Some sites say they do, but when I cal to make sure, they don't. The thing I like about Rancho is the sub-frame, that and I've heard great things about them from people who have them or had them.

I saw tuff country makes a 4" lift but every time I ask about tuff country lifts people look at me like a spoke a forbidden name or something.

That's the problem you have when the design of your truck is getting up to 6-7 years old. Dodge did away with torsion front 4x4s in '05, so basically 95% of the people who were gonna lift these trucks have done so already. The companies have to concentrate on newer designs.

Places you can try for Rancho off the top of my head are: 4 Wheel Parts, Suspension Connection, Rocky Mountain Suspension, JC Whitney, Rock Auto, 4 Wheel Drive Hardware, Jegs, Jack-It and QuadraTec. Surely one of them must have a kit in stock.

Did YOU call Rancho??? Good people there. I had a tie rod end go on mine at almost 5 years after I intalled the kit. Big-Oversized tie rod end that comes with the kit, so no going to Mopar or the local auto parts store for replacement. I called Rancho, not only did they replace it FOR FREE, but sent me one for the other side (which was still good) at no charge also. Good company to do business with!!!

I'll have to check those places out. I know rockey mountain and 4 wheels parts and JEGS don't have them in stock. I'll have to check those other ones though. And yes I called Rancho specifically asking about the kit and the lady I talked to told me the same thing that the other person told me. She said my best bet would be to just shop around until I find someone that has it in stock, which to these point had been a hard to find product.
