Hi I have an 2006 2500 and my "smart" friend went to move it and accidently inserted the key to my 96 dump truck in the ignition...This caused the truck to kick into security mode and not start! Now I am trying to reprogram my original keys, so far to no avail! H E L P I don't want to have to pay to have it towed to a dealership

 

Well, that was certainly brilliant. Hmm, the truck learns the key, not the key learning the truck. The rogue key removed the programming? Sounds unlikely. I sure am glad I don't have that d@mned security key nonsense. Good luck.
