What is the latest yr engine that'll work in a 2002 ram 1500 4wd? Without having to do any modifications?
And do I know if mine's a 16 or 32 tooth?

good question, I would also like to know. from what I have gathered, the 2002 4.7l we have is the only year it was offered in the 3rd Gen. 2003 got changes, one of them is going to 32 tooth ring from 16, but still considered first gen. Not sure if/when there was another update to the 4.7l.
