Popping cat???

Is it even worth popping the cat on these newer trucks???

If you have O2 sensors after the cat, you would most likely pop some CEL's.

You can get O2 delete kits that take care of that. Im just curious if its benifical?

Nope, they are high flow and you will lose a bit of low end torque by removing them. Your exhaust will stink without them too.

Yeah, I gotta agree with lxman on this one. The cats today are not the cats your father had in the 70's & 80's. Not to mention with the introduction of the modern Hemi the engineers knew this engine was all about "breathing" and spec'd high flowing cats stock. Incidentally, unlike the original Hemi ours is not a "Hemi" at all. Our Hemi engines are actually polyspheric whereas the original Hemi had true hemispheric cylinders. But I'm glad they didn't call it a "Polly", LOL.

There is very little benefit to gutting or omitting the catalytic converters on our trucks...

Thats what I was thinking also. I just keep hearing people talk about it and figured I'd see what people said on here.
