Default 5.7 duribility how much can it handle

Well I have no idea were my post I just did went or if it went through due to my sh!tty internet so here we go again lol. OK first of its nice to be back on the d.f.! Second I can't believe I remembered my F-n password. OK so now the tech questions.... How much abuse can the stock bottom end take? tranny? I plan on being the owner of a rumble bee sumtime after christmas with plans on it being my next "drag" car. I know its a truck but I'm not into domestic cars and I sold all the imports. My plans are to use a hx40 single turbo with of course all supporting mods, light weight 18" wheels, suspension.... The big question is will the hemi be able to handle the hx?

Depends on how much boost you intend to put to it. 6-8lbs seems to be it before the stock bottom end gives out. If you intend to really turn up the heat, then starting with a 6.1 short block (or 6.1 based stroker) will last longer.
