I'd say the cherry bomb extreme it is way quieter in the cab than the FM 40 was. The cb has *******ly no drone to me. A perfect amount of audible feed back and sounds awesome outside.

I gotta tell ya, after listening to Hammers cherry bomb extreme and then hearing that drone isn't a problem + fairly quiet in the cab...I'm kinda leaning that way. Only thing I noticed was that Hammer was running headers and I won't be going that route. Any or much difference in the sound without headers? Dang, it just sounded great. Sounds like that may be my plan. Any naysayers on this plan?
Thanks guys!

Take a look at the following thread:

https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...-at3030xl.html

If I hadn't already had the Spintech that's on my truck now, this is the muffler I was going to get. Check out his videos and you may find that this muffler is what you're looking for. As for the Spintech, I'm happy with mine. It sounds like the performance sound of a 5.0 Mustang, but with no real issue with droning. I have a 2-1/2 year-old and about to have another riding in the back seat so droning and being too loud are off the table for me. I also don't want "quiet" either. The Spintech does a great job giving good sound without being too loud, but I originally wanted to go with the AT3030XL as seen (heard) in the videos.

Also, my exhaust is stock except for the muffler, the resonator has been removed, and the single 3" exits right under the rear bumper via a slight turn-down with no tip... heard but not seen.

There have been some issues with the guts falling apart on those Aero mufflers.

This is the first time I've heard (read) anything like that about them! I'll have to keep on the lookout for more info...

You should go with the 24" Magnaflos. Also if you have a resignator ,keep it. Itll help control the growl, and if you ever decide to make it louder just get rid of it then.

I just put a Borla Cat back system on my 04 HemiSport about a month ago. I had a Flowmaster 50 Delta Flow that sounded good, but the rest of the system rusted out where the shop welded it. Borla sounds awesome. Quiet while crusing, but loud when you get on it or towing. Can't beat the quality or warranty either. I had it on my '98 5.9L Limited Grand Cherokee. Will never have another exhaust system.

I can't remember where i have seen this. I think they will replace them, it's just a hassle when it's welded in place. Another reason I like the slip fit of the Magnaflow cat-back. I can switch from stock to Magnaflow or back to stock in about 30 minutes with just a 15mm socket.
