Raced a F150 Today
You always hear that about the F150 and there's no good reason for it. They make far less power yet are supposed to tow so much better. It's not power, torque, or gearing, so what is it? Maybe their transmission is programmed better or has more usable ratios?
Then again, they do rate their truck 1000 lbs higher towing than a Cummins-equipped 2500 so they might just be magical!

See the new ford with the eco-boost or what ever their 6cyl turbo engine is puts out a good deal of power and is actually pretty damn quick, not fast, but quick. The new rams, for 390hp, its upsetting how slow they really are. Dodge needs to stop with putting bigger engines in these trucks and do some work on the transmissions instead. A 28% drivetrain loss is not acceptable by any means (and yes it is absolutely that much of a loss if not more). Engine wars are fun but you have to have the rest of the drivetrain working properly as well or one companies v8 is going to get toppled by anothers v6
