Default Should I wait....exhaust system

well i hit a pot hole on the highway and i heard a crack and a scraping sound. turns out my trucks( 2004rcsb 4.7 dumped) mufflerwas welded to the hanger and the hanger was welded to the frame. The hanger broke off at the muffler and I had to use my cheapo packing straps to hold it up until i got to my buddies house. i have been meaning to replace the muffler with a CB extreme. but it looks like if i replace the muffler im going to have to replace the y pipe and add some more pipe other wise the cherry bomb would practically be under my cab. On top of all this i was thinking about putting some shorties headers on there( are they worth it cost wise?) cant afford the headers right now as i have to replace a bumper thx to a pos ranger. so it all boils down th this. should i wait and do the muffler y pipe and headers all at once or should i go ahead and do the muffler and y pipe?

The great state of Arkansas does not have inspection. so i can get away with a lot. would true duals offer anything over a single muffler?
