Default 06 1500 QC audio question

quick question, i have an 06 1500 4 door slt, was wondering what size speakers are factory and what size to get. and in these trucks, whats a good place for the amps.. under seats?

3.5 in the dash
6x9 in the front doors
5.25 or 6.5 in the rear doors (pull your door skins to verify)

putting amps under the front seats will see future issues from your friends kicking them. put them on the back wall behind the rear seats

thanks weed. I'm thinking about getting kicker comp 12's since they're two for $100 at best buy

Keep in mind that the front 6x9s are shallow-mount. It's much easier to replace them with 6.5" than to find a pair of 6x9s that fit properly. Also, be prepared to drill mounting holes front and back, regardless of chosen speaker size, since the stock speakers use non-standard mounting holes.

I have the Mopar Kicker 6x9's in the front doors. Sound great and a direct bolt in/plug in.

I have a Mopar Kicker 4.1 amp on order that mounts behind the dash and is a drirect plug in except for 1 hot wire to the battery.
