problem with superchips 3865..Help!!!
I was under the impression that the 3865 would or could adjust transmission shifting (hard shifts instead of soft shifts) but it still feels the same.
So I talked to a few people and they said i would have to purchase it for 39.95....is that true???? Please help!!
Was trying to adjust Psi to shift harder but it will not let me.
I have an 04 ram 1500 4.7

The 3865 canned performance tune does change WOT shift points from stock, but it's a mild "good for everyone" schedule. Unlike the '05+ Rams with a different PCM, only the WOT points are changed.
It does however increase transmission line pressure, making for much firmer shifts, without that built in "lag" that's there stock. I feel it, so much so that when I go back to the stock tune for one reason or another, my transmission shifts feel like a wet sponge.
I suggest you go back to the stock tune and see if you feel a difference, if not, you may have an issue or simply, your "butt" dyno may need recalibration. LOL.
The optional transmission shift schedule program allows you to make tranny shifting as aggressive as you want. But you better know something about shift points and scheduling or read up on it because you can do damage.
I think the single biggest advantage of the optional program is that it allows you to decrease Torque Management by as much as you want. Torque Management is the amount of torque reduction that is programmed into the PCM at the factory and it's sole purpose is to reduce stress on the transmission during shifts to extend transmission and drive train life. Reducing this by a conservative amount can be felt for sure while still offering a good bit of "protection" for the transmission. Again, over-doing it puts your transmission at risk.
I like the optional program myself, but it's not for everyone...

I always thought the same thing, but Dodge ain't the only one to do it, all manufacturers have built Torque Management into their automatic transmission vehicles over recent years. Although the way it was explained to me by a Dodge engineer was that "slip" within the transmission is bad, but this is a reduction of torque which is good. Dunno.
I currently have mine reduced to 20% and know guys down around 12% who have had no problems (yet).
