I just changed my plugs and cleaned the tb at 46000. WOW what a difference in power and i am sure mpg will pick up some also. i used good old champion copper plugs.can't wait til i go hunting later this month to get a good read on hiway mpg.
yes i did. they didn't look all that bad as far as being burned up but the gap was quite a bit wider than .45 and the tb was pretty gunked up on the inside.
I'm at 52K and need to check my TB. Many hwy miles so it may not be too bad. Runs great.
Its gonna be dirty. I thought the same thing at about 35,000, mostly highway, ran great so didn't think it would be to bad but on the inside it was pretty dirty and even past the throttle body into the intake had some gunk. I can't say I had any MPG gains or better throttle response but I felt better anyway. The plugs looked great at 30k, I believe they could have gone quite a bit longer but for the cheap OEM Coppers its worth the peace of mind to do it every 30k.
