You might have to purchase it. I'm not to sure as I have the 4.7 and don't have Mds. Try using there update program. Itll update you tuner and show you what you can purchase. Yes you can run 89 octane with the 87 tune. You can always go higher than what tune says, but don't buy a lower grade fuel than what tune is. I.e. 89 with 87 tune ok. 85 with 87 tune no go.
1. MDS disable is in the advance tuning options, not the quick tune. Advance tune -> (select your tune here) -> options -> MDS
2. yes you have to purchase the trans tune option from superchips if you didn't download the add on within the first ~month of it's release
3. SC= superchips settings. they won't tell you what they are they are proprietary, the SC is just to tell you they are different from stock. If you want you can run SC engine tuning with stock shift points, SC shift points, or if you buy the trans tune user shift points
4. yes you can run higher octane than the tune calls for, other way around is no bueno
FYI tow tune is a 91 octane min

weird, i looked there too and when i clicked advanced tune it only showed; 87 tune, 91, mileage tune and that's all i believe.. i updated the software yesterday too. and how do i run the SC engine tuning shift points?
I made a Superchips Thread Compilation. I know it's alot, but go through that and then come back with any questions. There is alot to the SC tuner(Mainly if you purchase the shift tune...highly reccomended) I will NEVER go back to stock trans tuning...I'd sell my truck before that! Worth every penny!
what does (2)A Key exchange error mean? and also, (M4)A read turner data error? plugged it into computer and this crap pops up and the programmer says USB port time out.. kinda getting frustrated and annoyed.

I was EXTREMELY frustrated with the terribly poor software that tuner comes with when I first purchased it. So much so, that after I FINALLY got the damn thing to update, I removed the application and will likely never connect it to a PC again. For reference, I'm in the IT field, and have been making a living fixing all manner of PCs and issues for quite a long time now. Still leaves a bad taste in my mouth.... but the PC app aside, the tuner itself is fantastic.
I take it you are using a Windows 7, or possibly Vista, computer? If you're running an x86 version, you're already way ahead of the game. I have all x64 PCs, and I thought I bricked the thing quite a few times.
